Subject Information File relates to Hugh Holohan's receipt of a military service pension in respect of his service with the Irish Volunteers during the week of 23 to 29 April 1916, his subsequent internment until August of that year and his service with the Irish Volunteers and IRA during the War of Independence in 1919 and 1920. Holohan claims that a meeting of the Irish Volunteer Executive took place at his home at 77 Amiens Street, Dublin on 19 April 1916 and that arms were stored there as well as his family's business at 16 Usher's Quay prior to the Easter Rising. File further refers to Holohan's residence and activities in the USA between August 1916 and September 1917 and from December 1920 for which he did not receive recognition for pension purposes. File includes: handwritten notes regarding Holohan's service from P. Holohan; signed typed statement regarding Holohan's service from Samuel Patrick O' Reilly; material relating to Hugh Holohan's receipt of a 1916 Medal and a Service (1917-1921) Medal with Bar.
