File relates to Daniel Horan’s unsuccessful application under the Army Pensions Acts in respect of the death of his brother James Horan who was shot and killed by British forces on 1 May 1921 at Shraherloe/Shraherlow/Shraherla, County Cork. Application withdrawn by Daniel Horan. Applicant claims that deceased took part in the Easter Rising, 1916 for which he spent time in the Mater Hospital.
Also includes unsuccessful application from Nora Horan, sister of deceased, for an award.
