Subject Information File relates to Mary Slattery’s unsuccessful application under the Army Pensions Acts in respect of the death of her son William Slattery who was shot and killed on 30 December 1920 at Roesborough, County Tipperary. Noted by the Military Service Registration Board that Slattery was killed while being escorted as a prisoner from Emly to Tipperary Barracks. William Slattery, father of the deceased, made an application for compensation under the Compensation (Personal Injuries) Committee for £3,000 compensation and was awarded £100.
