Subject Information File relates to Richard Dalton’s unsuccessful application under the Army Pensions Acts in respect of the death of his brother Patrick Dalton who was shot and killed by British forces on 12 May 1921 at Gortaglana, Knockanure, County Kerry. Richard Dalton found not to be dependent on deceased. Mentioned in file that Patrick Walsh and Jerry Lyons were killed in the same incident. Con Dee wounded. Dee states in his Military Service Registration Board reference that Dalton was killed by a firing squad while he [Dee] was wounded but managed to escape.
