Subject Information File relates to Bridget Newman’s application under the Army Pensions Acts in respect of the death of her son Richard Newman who was shot and wounded on 13 March 1921 and died on 14 March 1921. Reported on file that the deceased was shot while evading capture by British forces after warning some members of the IRA that British forces were in the locality.
