Subject Information File relates to Michael and Margaret Keating’s unsuccessful application under the Army Pensions Acts in respect of the death of their son Patrick Keating who was shot and killed by British forces near the Burgery Road, Dungarvan, County Waterford on 18 or 19 March 1921. Applicants claim there was an award of £400 (dead) or £1000 (alive) for Patrick Keating. State that as a result, and following his death, his body was buried at night and after eight weeks was moved to the republican plot in Kilrossanty.
