Subject Information File relates to William Foley’s application under the Army Pensions Acts in respect of the death of his son Edmond Foley who was executed on 7 June 1921 at Mountjoy Prison, Dublin. Foley was court martialled and executed for his part in the rescue of Sean Hogan at Knocklong Railway Station, County Limerick on 13 May 1919. Foley was arreseted on 23 September 1919.
