Subject Information File relates to Joseph Wade’s application under the Army Pensions Acts in respect of the death of his son Henry Wade who was shot and killed by British forces at Guillmore/Caherguillamore House, Bruff, County Limerick on 27 December 1920. Also includes successful application from Margaret Wade, mother of deceased, for an award. Wade made an unsuccessful application for compensation under the Compensation (Personal Injuries) Committee. Applicant received £15 from the White Cross Association. File contains: report from an Garda Síochána detailing Joseph Wade’s circumstances and dependency on deceased at the time of his death; photocopy of marriage certificate for the marriage between Joseph Wade and Margaret McMahon; photocopy of certified copy of death certificate.
