File relates to Mary Mehigan’s application under the Army Pensions Acts in respect of the death of her son James Mehigan who was injured in a bomb explosion at the corner of Patrick Street and Princes Street, Cork on 23 November 1920. Deceased was brought to Mercy Hospital, Cork where died a number of hours later.
Mary Mehigan made an unsuccessful application for £5,000 compensation under the Compensation (Personal Injuries) Committee.
Also includes unsuccessful application from Kitty O'Shea, sister of deceased, for an award.
