Subject Information File relates to David Flynn’s application under the Army Pensions Acts in respect of the death of his son Patrick Flynn who was killed at Mourne Abbey, Mallow, County Cork on 15 February 1921 in an engagement with British forces. Flynn claims that his son was a member of the Irish Volunteers/IRA from February 1916. The Military Service Registration Board issued a service certificate awarding Flynn service from 1917 to February 1921.
