Subject Information File relates to David Carson’s unsuccessful application under the Army Pensions Acts in respect of the death of William David Carson who was killed on 3 August 1922 in Tralee, County Kerry. Reference made to payment of Dependant's Allowance from Army Funds. Army Pension Board found that Carson was not dependant on the deceased. Report from the Society of the Saint Vincent de Paul states that William David Carson was a former member of the British Army and purchased his discharge at a cost of £38 to enlist in the National Forces. Applicant was also a former member of the British Army and was an Officer in the Special Constabulary (A, B and C) and that he was employed by a government department in Northern Ireland.
