Kate Moore states that her son was stationed at Nenagh, County Tipperary and that he was killed in an ambush at Bushfield, County Tipperary. Letter dated 13 May 1924 to Adjutant General, General Headquarters says that Moore was among those ambushed at Boher Cross.
