Subject Information File relates to John Moore’s application under the Army Pensions Acts in respect of the death of his son John Moore who was killed on 17 September 1922. Reference made to payment of Dependant's Allowance from Army Funds. Also includes unsuccessful application from Kate Moore, mother for an award. Kate Moore states that her son was stationed at Nenagh, County Tipperary and that he was killed in an ambush at Bushfield, County Tipperary. Letter dated 13 May 1924 to Adjutant General, General Headquarters says that Moore was among those ambushed at Boher Cross. File contains: report from an Garda Síochána detailing John Moore’s circumstances and dependency on deceased at the time of his death.
