Subject Information File relates to Ellen McCormack’s application under the Army Pensions Acts in respect of the death of her brother Patrick Fitzgerald who was killed on 22 December 1922 at the corner of Granby Road and Dorset Street, Dublin. Dependant's Allowance paid between August 1923 and March 1924 from Army Funds. Fitzgerald was a member of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps prior to joining the National Forces. Report into the death of Fitzgerald states that he and Arthur JC Devonshire were walking along Bolton Street when two unknown individuals fired two shots at Fitzgerald and ran in the direction of Granby Row. File contains: copy of the report into the death of Fitzgerald; report from the Dublin Metropolitan Police detailing McCormack's circumstances.
