Subject Information File relates to Alice Crabbe's receipt of a partial dependents' gratuity of £80 (eighty pounds sterling) - increased on appeal from £60 - under the Army Pensions Act, 1923 in respect of her son National Army Sergeant Major Edward Crabbe. Sergeant Major Edward Crabbe was killed on 16 September 1922 during the Civil War. According to the material on file he was killed at Erris, County Mayo. However on file 2D238 Thomas Henry Healy, Edward Crabbe is listed as one of those killed with Thomas Healy at Glenamoy, Belderrig, County Mayo during an attack on a National Army party there on 16 September 1922.
