Scope and Content File relates to the submission of documentation regarding the activities of the North Galway Brigade to the Referee under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934 by the brigade committee. File contains: two page typed copy of activities in Galway 1920-21; handwritten index to activities including date of engagement, engagement and page – operations are in typed and handwritten form and contains a brief description of activity, names of participants, company and weapon used; four page handwritten list of the activities of ten pension applicants - includes name, address, reference number and summary of activities; correspondence between the Office of the Referee and Tuam Brigade Committee regarding the certification of records submitted by the latter; eight page typed evidence given before the Referee and Advisory Committee by Vincent Corcoran (Honouree Secretary) and Patrick Dunleavy (ex-Officer Commanding, 4 Brigade); 2 page handwritten list of activities of 3 Battalion, Mid-Galway Brigade submitted by Vincent Corcoran; correspondence concerning the difficulty in obtaining records from 1 and 3 battalion committees of the Brigade.
