File relates to the submission of activities carried out between September 1915 and October 1922, by or within 4 Battalion, 1 Cork Brigade, 1 Southern Division IRA by that Brigade Committee to the Office of the Referee, Military Service Pensions Act, 1934. 4 Battalion, 1 Cork Brigade was reorganised and a new battalion - 10 Battalion - formed from companies which had previously been in the 4 Battalion area following the Truce of 11 July 1921 but prior to the outbreak of the Civil War on 28 June 1922.
