Title New York Gun Running 
Scope and Content The file shows that an attempt was made in mid-June 1921 to smuggle an unspecified number of Thomson sub-machine guns from New York to Ireland on board the S.S. ‘East Side’ and that this operation was unsuccessful. The file includes copy statements from 4 crew members outlining their recollection of events, and also a list of 24 persons involved in the activity.
