Scope and Content File contains original and photocopy of handwritten listing containing names and addresses of twenty-two (22) members of the Irish Volunteers who “…rendered active service in Tyrrellspass district and at various other centres throughout South Westmeath during Easter Week 1916.” Listing also gives number of days’ service rendered by those named, as well as brief details of subsequent activities of a number of those listed. Listing was compiled and signed by members of Tyrrellspass and South Westmeath Pensions Advisory Committee and former district and company officers commanding. File also includes: original and photocopy of initialled memoranda dated 14 February 1938 addressed to "Mr Dooley" regarding the opening of a new file "Tyrrellspass 1916 activities"; and photocopy of typed note dated 10 September 1992 signed by M Keegan regarding the comparing of copy roll with original roll.
