Scope and Content File includes handwritten listings compiled by: Seosamh O’ Conchubhar (Joseph O’ Connor) officer commanding A Company, 3 Battalion, Dublin Brigade, Irish Volunteers of members of A Company, B Company, and E Company of 3 Battalion who fought in Boland’s Mills area, Marylebone Lane, Jacob’s factory and other locations; Joseph O’ Byrne of men from B, D, and E Companies who served under him at Boland’s Mill as well as request from Mr. O’ Byrne to be personally granted a certificate of service for Easter Week 1916 as he is debarred from applying for a military service pension as a government officer; Simon Donnelly, officer commanding C Company, 3 Battalion, Dublin Brigade, of members of C Company, 3 Battalion who served at Boland’s Mills, Mount Street and Clanwilliam Place during Easter Week; letter from Ms. K. O’ Connell, Personal Secretary to Eamon De Valera, T.D., President of the Executive Council, regarding Mr. De Valera’s recollections of the strength of the 3 Battalion, Dublin Brigade, Irish Volunteers during Easter Week 1916; and two copies of typed fourteen (14) page documents entitled “An Account of the Experiences and Activities During Easter Week 1916, of the Garrison at Boland’s Mills, Ringsend Road” submitted to the Office of the Referee, Military Service Pensions Act, 1934.
