Scope and Content File includes: copy and original typed and handwritten correspondence between the Office of the Referee and Advisory Committee, Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, and former members of the Irish Citizens Army (I.C.A.) regarding the collection of evidence regarding service pension applications from former I.C.A. members; typed copy of unsworn statement made before the Advisory Committee by John O’ Neill ex Commandant I.C.A 1916-1922 referring primarily to post 1916 I.C.A. activities and organisation; typed listing of names and addresses with handwritten annotations entitled “St. Stephen’s Green”; copy typed document issued by Padraig Ó Bróin on behalf of the South County Dublin Unit of the Old Citizen Army 1913-1923 and sent to former I.C.A. members and the Secretary, Advisory Committee providing a listing of Officers and Non Commissioned Officers from 1921 to 1923, a memorandum of active and general service from November 1920 to September 1923 and, requesting any available additional information from former I.C.A. members to compile a history of the I.C.A.; handwritten listing, giving names and ranks, of I.C.A. officers in 1916 provided by Christopher Poole; twenty five page handwritten listing giving names, addresses, periods of service and (recommended?) pension grade of I.C.A. members from 1916 to the end of the Civil War and in some cases the service location for 1916 and/or Civil War, as well as listing of officers from 1916 to 1923.
