Scope and Content File contains documentation relating to the 1st Battalion area (1st Brigade - 1st Northern Division) which was cxomposed of four (4) branches: Dungloe (attached to A Coy), Meenacross (attached to D Coy), Loughanure/Annagry branch (attached to E Coy, later known as G Coy). File contains typed and handwritten membership lists, with names and addresses of officers and members for each branch. The strength of the District Council was 97 on 11 July 1921 and 63 on 1 July 1922. These figures are drawn from the lists of members of each branch given in the record, however the membership lists do not always indicate relevant critical dates.
