The collection contains c. 4000 maps and architectural plans and drawings from the British War Office, the Royal Engineer Corps, the Ordnance Survey and latterly the Defence Forces Engineer Corps.

Title	Cemeteries: care of graves of republicans (I.R.A.) killed in action since 1916.
Scope and Content	File contains two handwritten letters and one typescript letter extract sent to the Department of Defence, and the president Eamon deValera, from Marjorie Aherne, Patrick J. MacInerney, and the reverend sister M. Basil Ryan. All express concern regarding the upkeep of the graves of those who fought or died in the War of Independence. Replies are issued to each by the secretary of the Department of Defence stating that no government funding exists for the upkeep of these graves.
