Subject Information File relates to Kelly's application for a wound pension or gratuity under the Army Pensions Acts in respect of gun shot wound sustained by him while serving with the IRA on 20 April 1921. Claims that he received the wound owing to the accidental discharge of a comrade's revolver in Furrigal, County Mayo. Noted in letter from Gearoid O'Sullivan that applicant was connected with the Irregular movement and that he was on the run until [1923]. Kelly found upon re-examination to be no longer suffering from the wound (25 May 1925). File contains: medical report on an ex-Irish Volunteer claiming disability in respect of service.
