Subject Information File relates to Bridget O'Malley’s application under the Army Pensions Acts in respect of the death of her son Thomas O'Malley who was shot and killed by British forces on 6 May 1921 at Cloonkeen, County Mayo. Also includes application from Margaret O'Malley, sister of deceased, for an award. Deceased was one of a party engaged in cutting a road at Cloonkeen when he was shot by British forces. Thomas Lally killed in same incident. Bridget O'Malley made an application for £3000 compensation under the Compensation (Personal Injuries) Committee and the Compensation (Ireland) Commission.
