Subject Information File relates to Bridget Sweeney's unsuccessful application for a military service pension in respect of her claimed service with Cumann na mBan for part of the periods between 1 April 1918 and 30 September 1923. Claims that she was a member of Newport Battalion, West Mayo Brigade and took part in routine activities. Says that she reported enemy movements; collected money; carried dispatches and provided food and equipment to the IRA. Claims that her home was frequently raided.
