As Branch Secretary under the command of Eileen Ryan and James Chambers (MSP34REF2993), the applicant states that during the War of Independence (January 1919 – July 1921) she was involved in dispatch work; fundraising; transporting ammunition and supplying food and clothes to IRA men on the run. Taking the anti-Treaty side in the Civil War (June 1922 – May 1923), Nora Walsh claims that she took part in routine activities.
