File relates to Bridget O'Malley’s application under the Army Pensions Acts in respect of the death of her son Thomas O'Malley who was shot and killed by British forces on 6 May 1921 at Cloonkeen, County Mayo. Also includes application from Margaret O'Malley, sister of deceased, for an award. Deceased was one of a party engaged in cutting a road at Cloonkeen when he was shot by British forces. Thomas Lally killed in same incident. Bridget O'Malley made an application for £3000 compensation under the Compensation (Personal Injuries) Committee and the Compensation (Ireland) Commission. Applicant received £80 from the White Cross Association.
