File relates to Maggie Agnes Kelly's successful pension application in respect of her service in Cumann na mBan for parts and entire periods from 1 April 1920 to 31 March 1923. She was awarded 1 and 25/36 years of service for pension purposes in November 1940. Applicant appealed against the decision but the award remained unchanged.
Applicant states she joined Cumann na mBan in 1918 until 1923.
Her pre-Truce activities involved mostly collecting funds and catering. Continued catering during the Civil War and attended a few sick men. Seems to have been attached to the Newport Battalion, West Mayo Brigade, 4th Western Division).
She states she was appointed treasurer of the branch.
