Says that he served with E Company, 3 Battalion, West Mayo Brigade. States that he enlisted in the National Forces on 25 July 1922 in Westport and was discharged on 11 April 1924. File (4P1007) relates to James McGreal's unsuccessful application for a wound pension or gratuity under the Army Pensions Acts in respect of disease contracted by him while serving with the National Army. Claimed that he suffered from rheumatic pain as a result of wettings and exposure at Westport in November 1923.
