File relates to Lallie Patterson's unsuccessful application for a military service pension in respect of her claimed service with Cumann na mBan for part of the periods between 1 April 1917 and 11 July 1921.
Says that she was a member of Ballineen Branch, 4 Battalion, 3 Cork Brigade, having joined in 1917 or 1918. Claims that she was Captain of the branch on the first critical date, having been appointed in April 1920. Says that her home was raided by British forces and that a member of her family was interned in Ballykinlar, [County Down] for 12 months. Claims that she received and delivered dispatches and enforced the Belfast boycott. States that she induced her father to give up his saddlery contract which he had with enemy forces.
