Applicant claimed membership of Cumann na mBan in the service periods between 23 April 1916 and 30 September 1923 during the War of Independence, Truce period and Civil War. Annie M Sheridan states that she was attached to Castlebar Branch, [1 Battalion], West Mayo Brigade, Cumann na mBan from 1916 onwards. During the War of Independence (January 1919 – July 1921), the subject claims that she supplied cigarettes, clothes and food to IRA forces and did dispatch work. Taking the anti Treaty side in the Civil War, the subject claims that she was engaged in similar work. Subject did not appear before the Advisory Committee and did not provide any references.
