Annie M Sheridan states that she was attached to Castlebar Branch, [1 Battalion], West Mayo Brigade, Cumann na mBan from 1916 onwards. During the War of Independence (January 1919 – July 1921), the subject claims that she supplied cigarettes, clothes and food to IRA forces and did dispatch work.
Taking the anti Treaty side in the Civil War, the subject claims that she was engaged in similar work.
