File relates to Myra O'Donovan's unsuccessful application for a military service pension in respect of her claimed service with Cumann na mBan for part of the periods between 1 April 1917 and 11 July 1921.
Claims that she was a member of Ballineen Branch, 3 Cork Brigade and that she took part in routine Cumann na mBan activities. States that she joined Cumann na mBan in April 1917. States that she was involved in fund raising; delivery of dispatches, clothes and food to men on the run. States that she reported enemy movements. Applicant says that she received information regarding raids from a woman working in barracks and that she passed this to the IRA. Says that this information saved many from arrest. Mentions that men stayed in her home from time to time.
