| Subject Information |
File relates to Matilda Dever's unsuccessful application for a military service pension in respect of her claimed service with Cumann na mBan for part of the periods between 1 April 1918 and 30 September 1923.
Claims that she was a member of Glenhest Newport Branch, West Mayo Brigade and took part in routine activities. States that she reported the movement of British forces, collected for the Dáil Loan, rendered first aid assistance, prepared food and secured billets for IRA members. Applicant claims she carried out similar duties during the Civil War and that she concealed arms during raids by members of the National Army.
