Scope and Content File deals with drafts, comments thereon by the Department of Defence at the request of the Department of Finance of the Statutory Instruments (SI) for Pensions (Increase) Regulations issued by the Minister for Finance to provide for increases notified in the Annual Budgets by the Minister for Finance as they apply to pensions under the Military Service Pensions Acts, pensions under the Connaught Rangers (Pensions) Acts and a pension under the MacSwiney (Pensions) Acts-(No30 of 1950 to provide for the payment of a pension to the widow of Terence MacSwiney)- and pensions (not related to pay) under the Defence Forces (Pensions) Schemes. Includes copy drafts, proof copy and notification of the status of the printed SI as to likely issue in some cases as it applies to payment schedules followed by Finance Branch of the Department of Defence.
